Bay of Quinte Mutual Insurance Co. is seeking an Insurance Agent to join our team and play a key role in delivering exceptional service while growing our client base across the Bay of Quinte region
Reporting directly to the Manager of the Policy Service Department, the insurance agent will be responsible for servicing approximately 2,500 policyholders, while also identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the Bay of Quinte region. This role focuses on relationship management, sales growth and providing trusted insurance advice to support clients' evolving needs.

Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with policyholders
- Deliver exceptional customer service by: responding to inquiries and concerns, providing sound insurance and risk management advice and conducting in-person visits with policyholders at their homes, farms, or businesses
- Service a book of business, ensuring policyholder needs are met
- Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the portfolio within the Bay of Quinte Region
- Promote and sell insurance products tailored to client needs
- Ensure compliance by maintaining accurate and complete policyholder documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Foster effective relationships with internal and external partners
- Utilize social media and networking opportunities to support business development
Qualifications
- University degree or college diploma in business, sales, or related field
- Licensed property and casualty insurance broker or agent
- Experience in insurance sales or customer service
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Self motivated with strong time management and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
- Customer service-oriented with high professional ethics and confidentiality
- Completion of the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation or willingness to obtain
- Knowledge of social media communications as a business development tools
- Energetic, goal-driven and results oriented
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $55,000.00-$95,600.00 per year
