Part-Time Elementary English Teacher/Tutor Wanted
We are seeking a part-time English tutor at our learning centre, Oxford Learning Richmond Hill - Oak Ridges. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young students, teaching language skills, and helping students build their abilities. Lessons are pre-planned; teachers are fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.
Responsibilities

Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels
Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
Fill in post-lesson notes
Complete daily student communication updates
Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times
Position Details

Location: In-person at Oxford Learning Richmond Hill - Oak Ridges, 13025 Yonge St., Richmond Hill, ON
Schedule: Weekdays after-school and evenings (3:30pm – 8:00pm) and some Saturdays (10:30am – 1:30pm). Commitment until the end of the school year preferred. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available.
Qualifications

Education:

University students will be considered
Teaching certification is an asset
Valuable knowledge of the current curriculum

Experience:

Some experience teaching/tutoring is preferred
Strong English written and oral communication skills




Ability to multitask and work with up to three students at a time

Other Requirements

Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory
In-person position; ability to commute to the Richmond Hill location
Must reside in or within a short commute of Richmond Hill area
Compensation & Advantages

Salary:

$18.50 – $20 / hour
