Position: Care Companion

Pay Rate: $18/hour

Schedule: 12-hour shifts | Casual | Day and Night Shifts

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents through conversation and presence
- Monitor and supervise residents consistently, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Escort residents within the facility, assist with mobility, and offer comfort when needed
- Maintain awareness and report any concerns or incidents affecting resident safety
- Intervene as appropriate to prevent harm and support de-escalation when required
- Support privacy,



dignity, and a positive living workplace for all residents

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- NVCI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) Certification – Required
- Solid observation and communication skills
- Calm, adaptable demeanor and quick decision-making in high-pressure situations
- Experience working with seniors or in geriatric care is an asset
- CCA and LPN students are welcome to apply
- Former CCA professionals will also be considered
- Additional training in crisis prevention or behavioral support is an advantage
