Position Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department while ensuring guest rooms and public areas consistently meet brand standards. This role assists with training, scheduling, inspections, inventory control, and team leadership while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, attention to detail, leadership abilities, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and support the daily operations of the housekeeping department
- Lead by example by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and professionalism
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure Marriott brand standards are consistently achieved
- Assist with training, coaching, onboarding, and performance management of housekeeping team members
- Support the Executive Housekeeper with scheduling and daily task assignments based on occupancy levels and operational needs




- Ensure guest requests and housekeeping-related concerns are addressed promptly and professionally
- Coordinate with the Front Desk and Maintenance departments to ensure efficient room readiness and issue resolution
- Monitor and maintain housekeeping inventory levels including linens, guest supplies, and cleaning products
- Ensure all health, safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards are followed
- Assist with deep cleaning programs, special projects, and preventive maintenance initiatives
- Promote a positive team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and guest satisfaction
- Perform housekeeping duties as required to support operational needs

Qualifications & Attributes

- Previous hotel housekeeping experience required
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and quality
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Positive attitude with the ability to motivate and support team members
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
