Position Overview The Web Architect - Customer Relationship Management is responsible for providing Technical Systems support for the City of Vaughan’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) environment. This includes analyzing technical requirements, designing and developing custom solutions, recommending technical approaches, and performing unit testing, deployments and related documentation.
The Web Architect - Customer Relationship Management ensures alignment of technical solutions with business objectives and involves solving complex technical issues while offering expert guidance to internal staff. They will participate in project teams and initiatives, including designing security models, developing efficient data management systems and system integrations. Participation in internal and external teams and committees pertaining to the City’s CRM strategy is also expected.
Qualifications and Experience
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or suitable equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the field of Information Systems including two (2) years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience.
- Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions with a strong understanding of CRM architecture and components.
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Customer Service Enterprise, Sales Enterprise and Field Service Modules.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Unified Interface, Dynamics CRM Portals (power page portals), Omnichannel, Online Payment and Copilot.
- Knowledge of power platform component framework, JavaScript, SQL Server, .NET Framework.
- Experience with analyzing and evaluating Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions to meet business problems.
- Experience with CRM configurations, including, but not limited to, forms, workflows, business rules, record security, business process flows.
- Experience with development, implementation, customizations, systems integrations, data migrations and testing of solutions.
- Experience in application support,
including liaising with internal clients and external consultants.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, multi-tasking, time management, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in the use of general computer software, e.g. Windows, MS Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, Exchange, PM software, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written including drafting correspondence, presentations, and reports.
- Demonstrated ability to research and gather information.
- Valid Ontario Class ‘G’ driver’s license in good standing with a reliable vehicle for business purposes when required.
- Knowledge of, and demonstrated ability in, the city's core competencies and relevant functional competencies.
- Availability to work outside normal business hours, as required.
- ITIL Foundations Certificate in IT Service Management will be considered an asset.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Certifications and Power Platform Certifications would be considered an asset: (Dynamics 365 Developer, Dynamics 365 Customer Service Functional Consultant Associate, Dynamics 365 Field Service Functional Consultant Associate, Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate, Power Platform Solution Architect, etc.).
