Oakville Pain Clinic / Upper Room Oakville
Full-time or part-time | $35–$45 / hour, based on experience | Oakville, ON
We're hiring a Registered Nurse to join a dual-clinic practice in Oakville — splitting the week roughly 50/50 between pain management nursing at the Oakville Pain Clinic and integrative / functional medicine nursing at Upper Room Oakville. We're open to either full-time or part-time arrangements, so whether you're looking for a 40-hour week or a smaller, scheduled commitment, we'd love to hear from you. If you've been wanting a role with real clinical breadth, ongoing learning, and a team that takes patient relationships seriously, read on.
About Us The Oakville Pain Clinic and Upper Room Oakville share a building, a brand family, and a philosophy: that transformative healthcare experiences come from attentive clinical care.
Oakville Pain Clinic focuses on pain management, supporting patients with chronic and acute pain through assessment, intervention, and recovery support through OHIP covered interventions.
Upper Room Oakville is the integrative / functional medicine side of the practice, where patients come for IV ozone, EBOO therapy, custom IV infusions, regenerative medicine consultations, and longer-term root-cause health work.
Together, the two clinics serve a wide patient community — from MVA recovery to autoimmune conditions to longevity programs.
About the Role
This is a hybrid RN role designed for someone who wants more than a single specialty. You'll alternate days across both sides of the practice:
- Pain Clinic days — assisting with pain management procedures, patient assessment, vitals, treatment-day support, and clinical follow-up.
- Upper Room days — running IV ozone (10-pass), EBOO therapy, and custom IV drip protocols; conducting patient intakes; making follow-up calls; reviewing treatment plans with patients; and supporting the physician's continuity of care.
You'll be expected to learn our treatment protocols thoroughly enough to explain them clearly to patients (ie. what each therapy does, why it's been recommended, what to expect during and after). Patient education is a meaningful part of this role.
What You'll Do
On the pain management side:
- Patient assessment, vital signs, and clinical intake
- Assist the physician with pain procedures and injections
- Patient education on pain management approaches and home care
- Treatment-day clinical support and post-procedure monitoring
- Care coordination and chart documentation
On the functional medicine side:
- Administer IV ozone 10-pass, EBOO therapy, and custom IV infusion protocols (full training provided)
- Run patient intakes and discovery calls for new patients
- Conduct follow-up calls and check in on patients between visits
- Screen and review patient treatment plans with patients
- Track adherence and progress on functional medicine protocols
- Explain how each therapy works to patients in transparent, accessible language
Across both sides:
- Maintain accurate, complete EMR documentation
- Communicate proactively with the physician and clinical team
- Contribute to a calm, warm patient experience from arrival through follow-up
What We're Looking For
Required
- Active RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Minimum 3-5 years of RN experience
- Current IV certification and demonstrated experience with venipuncture, cannulation, and infusion therapy
- Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment
- Excellent communication skills with patients and colleagues
- Comfort working in a small, tight-knit clinical team
- Clear and confident at explaining clinical concepts to patients in plain language
You'll thrive here if you:
- Are a self-directed learner who's excited to learn novel protocols
- Take patient relationships seriously
- Want clinical breadth across pain and integrative medicine
- Are comfortable moving between two clinical cultures within the same role
- Believe excellent care is built on careful attention to detail
Strong skills, but not required:
- Prior experience with IV ozone, EBOO, or other infusion therapies
- Experience in functional or integrative medicine
- Experience in pain management nursing
- Familiarity with regenerative therapies (PRP, prolozone, prolotherapy)
What You'll Learn With Us We invest in our team's clinical growth. You'll be trained on:
- IV ozone 10-pass administration
- EBOO (Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation) therapy
- Our full library of custom IV drip protocols
- Functional medicine treatment frameworks and root-cause approaches
- Pain management injection support and post-procedure protocols
- The tools and EMR systems we use day to day
You'll be expected to take ownership of these therapies — both in administration and in patient education — with full physician support along the way. Schedule, Compensation, & Logistics
