Finance Director – Heavy Infrastructure & Engineering Services (Energy & Shipping) Overview: Our client is an established group operating across multiple markets, with interests spanning project‑driven and asset‑intensive businesses. As part of the group’s transformation bid, it is seeking a senior finance leader to strengthen financial governance, support strategic growth initiatives, and provide trusted financial counsel to the Board and executive leadership. Reporting to the Group CFO, the role has overall responsibility for group‑wide financial management, planning, and reporting, ensuring the timely flow of accurate financial information to internal leadership and relevant external stakeholders. The incumbent will shape and execute financial strategies aligned with Board and executive directives, evaluate investment opportunities across existing and new markets, and assess the financial viability of growth initiatives, acquisitions, and recent ventures. In addition, the incumbent will oversee treasury and cash‑flow management, capital planning, budgeting, and investment appraisal, while working closely with external advisors, financial institutions, and regulators in Singapore and overseas. A key part of the role involves strengthening governance,



internal controls, and compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements, as well as supporting internal and external audits. The incumbent will also contribute at a broader organisational level, providing financial and commercial input into business planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement initiatives across core corporate systems and operations.

Requirements The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related discipline, with at least 15 years of relevant senior‑level experience in financial planning, corporate finance, or group finance roles, preferably within complex, multi‑entity or project‑oriented environments. The candidate should possess strong financial and commercial acumen, a deep understanding of taxation and treasury management, and the ability to operate effectively under pressure while making sound, critical decisions. Proven leadership capability, high integrity, analytical rigor, and the ability to communicate clearly and credibly with stakeholders at all levels are essential.
