Candidates should have a degree in planning or a related field with 7-10 years of experience focusing on growth management and rural planning. Responsibilities include providing strategic guidance, advising on legislative changes, and leading updates to zoning laws and community policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership for Building and Planning teams
• Offer insights on planning-related risks to CAO and Council
• Update community policies and the Official Plan
• Collaborate on cross-departmental initiatives
• Cultivate strong stakeholder relationships
Requirements:
• Degree in planning, architecture, or related discipline
• Eligible for professional association membership
• 7-10 years of leadership in public service
• Expertise in budgeting and policy development
• Valid Class “G” driver’s license required
