Expected Wage Range: $170,000.00 – $210,000.00 per year
Relocation assistance will be provided for the successful candidate if they live more than 100 km from the Corunna, ON office – located at 466 Polymoore Dr., Corunna, ON - prior to accepting the role.
As a Senior Project Manager at CIMS LP, you will be a key contributor towards CIMS success by overseeing all aspects of project management for projects within Ontario while embodying CIMS corporate values of Our People, Our Promise, Our Passion.
You will report to the Senior Vice President of Operations, Eastern Division and be accountable for:
- The direction, coordination, implementation and completion of projects while remaining aligned with the strategy and goals of CIMS.
- Leading communications with top tier clients and building on the relationship through time and a successful track record.
- Overseeing all day-to-day project initiatives and monitoring the status of all contracts/projects active on site on a weekly basis.
- Providing early and effective updates on any concerns or variables that may fall outside the established objectives.
- Preparing and issuing the construction cost reports, schedules and performance updates to company leadership.
- Mentoring a variety of staff, including aspiring project managers and coordinators on best practices, customer relations management and balancing company expectations with those of the client.
A successful candidate would be an individual who has:
- An Undergraduate degree or Technical School certification (including Trade Certification) in appropriate discipline or equivalent.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in Heavy Industry – Turnaround Maintenance, Daily PM Maintenance and Project Management.
- 5-10 years of related field construction experience.
- Project Management certificate/training would be an asset.
- Experience in project management, project controls, budgeting/financing, critical path thinking, risk management & assessment, negotiating, planning, cost estimating, cost/benefit analysis, scheduling and planning.
- Familiarity with HS&E; and quality control legislation, requirements and systems used.
Working conditions you can expect while performing your role include:
- Working in a well-ventilated office environment with adequate lighting and temperature.
- May be required to work in a portable trailer on client sites with adequate lighting and temperature.
- May be required to work outside of normal work hours on occasion to meet the needs of the business, including being on call for emergencies as needed.
- Frequent travel within Eastern Canada.
