Full time, Seasonal (Typically off Jan & Feb, weather dependant)
We are a growing, family-owned excavation and trucking company based in Elmvale, Ontario, looking for an experienced Equipment Operator / Lead Hand to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who can work alongside the foreman and help keep projects moving efficiently on site.
This is not a “sit in the machine all day” position — the right candidate must be willing to jump out and help with labour when needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently, including:
Excavators, dozers, rock trucks, skid steers, rollers, and related equipment
- Assist the foreman with day-to-day site operations
- Perform manual labour and ground work as required
- Help keep projects on schedule and running smoothly
- Work alongside crew members and lead by example
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies
- Willingness to travel for short periods during the season (Monday–Friday)
Requirements
- Strong experience operating excavators is required
- Experience with additional heavy equipment considered an asset
- Must be willing to perform manual labour when required
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Clean driving abstract required
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Reliability and consistent attendance are a must
- Leadership experience or experience working closely with a foreman is considered an asset

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour
