About the Opportunity

We are hiring a Head Chef to help lead our kitchen through an exciting stage of growth.

Provisions is expanding into a brand-new 4,000 sq. ft. facility in Toronto and building a kitchen that any chef would be proud to work in. Our new space will include a double-stack Rational oven, Rational iVario Pro, brand-new 8-burner range, griddle, steam kettle, fully separate pastry section, and a dedicated chef’s office.

This role is an important part of where we’re going next.

Role Description

The Head Chef will lead day-to-day culinary operations, food quality, kitchen organization, prep planning, production flow, team leadership, event readiness, food safety, ordering, inventory, costing, and recipe execution.

You will work closely with ownership, pastry, logistics, event producers, and the client experience team to ensure every event is organized, thoughtful, and executed to a high standard.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in a senior culinary leadership role
- Strong kitchen management, organization, and team leadership skills
- Experience with high-volume production, events, catering, restaurants, hotels, or commissary-style kitchens
- Strong understanding of food quality, prep systems, production planning, and event execution
- Experience with food safety, ordering, inventory, costing, and waste control
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work across departments
- A calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure
- Genuine passion for food, leadership, and building something meaningful

Schedule

Full-time leadership role. Schedule will vary based on event volume and production needs, with a mix of weekday kitchen leadership and event-driven requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

- Salary range: $85,000 to $105,000 annually, based on experience
