Responsibilities

The Town of Paradise, one of the fastest growing Municipalities in Newfoundland and Labrador, is seeking Full time, Seasonal Equipment Operators.

Under the general direction of the Forepersons, this position is accountable for the operation of the Town''s fleet of equipment including, but not limited to: front end loader, backhoe, dump trucks, ice control units, snow clearing equipment, and other motorized equipment and vehicles.

Qualifications

Successful completion of High School or equivalent is required;A valid Class three (3) Driver''s License with 08 and 09/09A endorsements for the province of Newfoundland and Labrador (abstract required);Minimum of three (3) years'' experience in operating heavy equipment is required;Successful completion of a recognized post-secondary Heavy Equipment Operator Training Program is considered an asset;Previous experience in the operation of drop frame side loaders would be considered an asset;The successful candidate must be available as required and, upon occasion,



this may mean long or unusual hours;Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with tact and diplomacy;Must be able to perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

This is a unionized position working 40 hours per week.

The salary for this position is based on an annual salary of $71,639.22 as per the Collective Agreement.
