Risk Control is accepting new applications for the role of professional Security Guards at our client's facilities located in Inuvik.

**This is NOT a fly-in/fly-out position. We are seeking applicants who are currently located in Inuvik or are planning on relocating.**

Risk Control is seeking experienced security professionals to add to our team. This position will be responsible for professional frontline security at our client's facility.

PRIMARY DUTIES

- Access Control: Monitor and control access to the site, ensuring only authorized personnel enter the premises.
- Patrols: Provide highly visible foot and vehicle patrols to deter and detect any suspicious activities.
- Incident Response: Respond promptly to unruly or undesired behavior, emergencies, alarms, and incidents, including medical, fire, and security breaches, and take appropriate action including contacting the police or appropriate emergency services.
- Reporting: Document daily activities, incidents, and irregularities, such as property damage, theft, unauthorized individuals, or unusual occurrences.
- Surveillance: Monitor surveillance equipment and perform video surveillance to ensure a secure environment.
- Conflict Resolution: Handle disputes or conflicts that arise on-site, de-escalating situations when necessary.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:





- A minimum of two years of security experience with emphasis on video surveillance, card access systems and patrolling.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 (or higher) Driver's License.
- Valid First Aid Level C with CPR & AED
- Valid Alberta Private Investigator’s, and/or Security License (or provincial equivalent)
- Certificate or Diploma in security management, law enforcement and/or criminology from a recognized post-secondary institute (or equivalent professional experience)
- Expert knowledge of the concepts, theories, and practices of security management, with emphasis on electronic security systems, loss prevention, security programming and guard workforces, and investigation techniques.
- Experience with the Google business suite platform
- Expert understanding of Microsoft suite of software

QUALIFICATION CONSIDERED AN ASSET:

- Use of Force or PPCT Certification
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) – American Society for Industrial Security (or equivalent experience)
- Physical Security Professional (PSP) ASIS Designation
- Skilled Certified Investigator (PCI) ASIS Designation
- Association Protection Professional (APP) ASIS Designation
- Professional Security Consultant (PSC), International Associate of Professional Security Consultants Designation
- Experience with Emergency Management
