Wieland Onda Srl is seeking a Responsible Welding Coordinator & International Welding Engineer (IWE) to oversee, coordinate, and improve all welding-related activities in compliance with international standards. The role ensures welding quality, process reliability, documentation accuracy, and continuous improvement across production.
Main Responsibilities
– Develop and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
– Manage Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) and welder qualifications.
– Select welding processes, consumables, and equipment.
– Optimize welding parameters for quality and productivity.
– Support troubleshooting and introduce new welding technologies.
– Ensure compliance with ISO 3834, ASME, and PED standards.
– Support internal and external audits and certifications.
– Supervise NDT activities (UT, RT, MT).
– Lead defect evaluation, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
– Prepare and maintain WPS, PQR, WPQR, welding maps, and reports.
– Ensure full traceability of materials and welds.
– Train welders and technical staff.
Requirements
– Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Welding Engineering.
– International Welding Engineer (IWE) certification.
– Strong understanding of welding codes, drawings, and metallurgical principles.
– Experience with WPS/PQR development.
– Familiarity with NDT methods (UT, RT, MT).
– Solid communication and leadership skills.
