About The School Cut Knife Community
School has a rich and proud history in the community. Originally opened as Cut Knife High School on June 7, 1966, the school has grown and evolved over the decades. Early expansions in the 1970s added spaces for music, industrial arts, and home economics, supporting a broad and engaging student experience.
Following damage from a tornado in 1989,
the school was rebuilt and strengthened, reflecting the resilience of the community. In September 2019, Cut Knife Elementary School and Cut Knife High School merged to become Cut Knife Community School, creating a unified Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 learning environment. Our school continues to be well represented in athletics, with students achieving success at the provincial level in Track and Field and other sports.
Our alternative calendar provides 14 Fridays off, supporting staff well-being and professional balance. Students and staff also benefit from access to a wide range of local facilities, including Atton’s Lake Golf Course, cross-country ski and running trails, Table Mountain alpine ski resort, Country Lanes Bowling Alley, the Cut Knife School of Dance, the curling rink, and the Cut Knife Civic Centre. We are seeking an educator who is collaborative, committed, and passionate about helping all students reach their full potential.
