Expected Wage Range: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

As a Payroll Administrator at CIMS LP, you will be a key contributor towards CIMS success by processing weekly hourly payroll for union and non-union employees across Canada and assisting the payroll system transition from Sage 300 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 while embodying CIMS corporate values of Our People, Our Promise, Our Passion.

You will report to the Senior Payroll Manager and be accountable for:

- Completing weekly payroll for union and non-union employees across AB, BC, MB, SK and ON through accurate calculation and processing of regular hours, overtime, allowances, bonuses, statutory holiday pay, and union fringe advantages and deductions.
- Interpreting and applying multiple collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and federal and provincial payroll legislation to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborating with project managers and administrators on new hires, employee changes, and time entry validation while responding to external inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Maintaining and updating employee payroll records, including employment status, positions, union classifications, pay rates, deductions, benefits, and tax information.
- Preparing, reconciling, and remitting payroll-related liabilities, including payroll taxes, EHT, WCB, and union remittances.
- Producing and distributing pay statements and Records of Employment (ROEs).
- Administering wage garnishments and third-party deductions in accordance with legal requirements.
- Supporting year-end payroll activities, including reconciliation and distribution of T4s and T2200s, and assist with audits.

A successful candidate would be an individual who has:

- 1–2 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in a unionized environment
- Working knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and standards
- PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) certification is considered an asset
- Experience with payroll or ERP systems (e.g., Sage 300, ADP,



Microsoft Dynamics Business Central)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Working conditions you can expect while performing your role include:

- Office environment, working in high-volume situations.
- May be required to work outside of normal work hours on occasion to meet deadlines.
