Allterrain Contracting is a Mid sized Heavy Civil Construction Firm based in HRM. We are currently seeking a Surveyor for the upcoming construction season for full time employment. Tasks range across all aspects of Civil construction. We offer benefit package and RRSP matching. Pay will be competitive and based on experience.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

-Provide field layout of various types of Civil construction from tree cutting to final paving

-Provide survey data for planning and payment quantities

-Communicate with Project team to ensure data and timing are correct for the upcoming tasks

-Ensure safety guidelines are followed

-Ensure Machine control files are up to date on equipment

-Must be able to work with minimal supervision

Qualifications:

- Previous use of GPS / RTK equipment as well as Robotic Total stations

- Previous Machine control experience would be an asset

- Experience in party chief role.





- Experience with Topcon survey equipment will be considered an asset

- Experience with Carlson or CAD of some sort will be required

- Diploma in Geomatics Engineering or Civil Engineering considered an asset but experience in civil construction industry is equally important

- Candidate must have the ability to read and interpret construction plans

- Must have Class 5 driver’s licence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
