We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Relief Care Associate to join our team on an on-call basis. This role provides essential coverage for scheduled staff absences, sick calls, and increased care needs, ensuring our residents continue to receive safe, respectful, and high-quality care at all times.
This is an ideal position for individuals who are flexible, reliable, and passionate about supporting seniors in a home-like setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Assist with meal service, feeding support, and hydration monitoring
- Respond promptly to call bells and resident needs
- Administer medications as directed (if certified and within scope)
- Maintain accurate documentation and report any changes in resident condition to management
- Support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Personal Care Attendant (PCA) certification or relevant experience preferred
- Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting is considered an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and available to work on short notice, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
