Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Solar Installer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing solar energy systems efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. This role offers an exciting chance to contribute to renewable energy initiatives while working in a collaborative environment that values technical expertise and safety. Candidates should possess a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with hand and power tools, and electrical knowledge to successfully perform installation tasks from start to finish.

Responsibilities

- Install solar panels, mounting systems, and electrical components according to project plans and safety guidelines
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging gear to prepare sites for installation
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble and secure solar components
- Perform site assessments and prepare the work area for installation activities
- Connect low voltage electrical wiring and ensure proper grounding of solar systems
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high safety standards




- Conduct quality checks on installed systems and troubleshoot minor issues during installation process
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, electrical work, and working at heights

Qualifications

- Mechanical knowledge with experience operating excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and other heavy equipment
- Electrical experience or background in low voltage wiring is highly desirable
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, rigging, welding, and related equipment
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as bucket trucks, low voltage systems, and welding tools safely and effectively
- Experience with welding is preferred but not mandatory
- Prior experience in solar or renewable energy installations is a plus but not required
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred for equipment operation and site access
