Job Overview

Green Bay South Child Care Centre is currently seeking an individual to work in our Centre located at Green Bay South Academy, Robert's Arm, NL. Wages will be in accordance with the Early Childhood Educator Wage Grid. This position is a maternity replacement for 18 months or until incumbent returns.

Responsibilities

- Administer the day-to-day operations at our Centre and provide a variety of experiences that support and promote each child's overall development, creating opportunities for learning and growth while providing support to the families and community.
- Ensure health and safety is adhered to at all times in compliance with the provincial legislation.
- Supervise, mentor and support employees, students and volunteers within our Centre.
- Build a professional relationship with all children, families, community resources and stakeholders.

Requirements/Qualifications

- Early Childhood Education Level II




- Minimum of two years experience working at a Child Care Centre
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification
- Current Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerability Sector Check/Court Check
- Child Protection Record Check
- Copy of Immunization Records
- Oath of Confidentiality with Employer
- Experience in staff management is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong work ethic and flexibility
