The Millwright – Preservation Technician performs preservation and preventative maintenance activities on industrial equipment. This role ensures that critical mechanical assets remain in a ready-for-service condition during storage, commissioning, or plant shutdown phases. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing preservation procedures on rotating and static equipment in accordance with industry best practices and site-specific standards.

The Millwright – Preservation Technician performs the following tasks:

- Perform mechanical preservation tasks including lubrication, desiccant replacement, rotation of shafts, sealing, and protective wrapping.
- Conduct inspections of preserved equipment to verify condition and compliance with preservation schedules.
- Document all preservation work using checklists, forms, or computerized maintenance systems (CMMS).
- Maintain and restore equipment in accordance with OEM guidelines, preservation manuals, and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with planners, engineers, and other trades to ensure preservation integrity across all asset classes.
- Troubleshoot mechanical preservation issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in the de-preservation of equipment prior to installation or commissioning.
- Comply with all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and storage environments.
- Other tasks as required

Requirements:

- Journeyperson Millwright certification or recognized equivalent.
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance or mechanical preservation experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of pumps, compressors, gearboxes, motors,



valves, and other plant equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, preservation procedures, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, torque equipment, and alignment instruments.
- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license, with a clean drivers abstract
- Preferred:

o Experience in oil & gas, mining, power generation, or large industrial projects.

o Knowledge of preservation practices per API, OEM, or ISO guidelines.

o Forklift or overhead crane certification.

Working Conditions:

- Work is performed in an industrial environment (construction sites, laydown yards), with uneven terrain
- Exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions
- Requires standing, lifting, bending, and use of PPE for extended periods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42.00-$46.00 per hour
