Primary Care Paramedic (PCP)

Location: Cross Lake, Manitoba
Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
Shifts: 12-hour days + paid on-call nights
Travel & Housing: Flights and accommodations provided

Position Summary

We are currently seeking Primary Care Paramedics (PCPs) to join our team in Cross Lake, Manitoba. This position offers the opportunity to work in a northern, remote environment while delivering high-quality pre-hospital care within a strong, team-based model.

Paramedics work a 7-on / 7-off rotation, with 12-hour daytime shifts and paid overnight on-call coverage. Crews operate in teams of three, promoting safety, collaboration, and high-level patient care.

Key Responsibilities

- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls in a safe and timely manner
- Perform patient assessments and provide care within PCP scope of practice
- Safely transport patients to appropriate healthcare facilities
- Work collaboratively within a 3-person crew to deliver effective patient care
- Complete accurate and detailed patient care reports (PCRs)
- Conduct daily ambulance checks, cleaning, and restocking
- Operate ambulance vehicles in varying road and weather conditions




- Follow all provincial protocols, medical direction, and service policies

Qualifications

- Current registration/licensure as a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) in Manitoba (or eligibility to obtain)
- Current BLS (HCP) certification
- Valid Class 4 Manitoba Driver’s License (or ability to obtain)
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Strong assessment, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while contributing to a team environment

- Remote/northern community setting
