Become a crucial member of the Health and Safety team at Hecla Mining's Keno Hill initiative. This role emphasizes safety leadership, compliance, and monitoring in a remote mining environment.
As a Health and Safety Coordinator, you'll support the development and execution of safety policies and training programs while inspecting work sites and tracking key performance indicators. Your contributions will enhance workplace safety and foster a robust safety culture among a dedicated team. This fly-in fly-out position includes a 14 days on, 14 days off schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
• Track Health and Safety Key Performance Indicators
• Conduct workplace inspections and risk control audits
• Develop health and safety training programs
• Lead Mine Rescue Training Program initiatives
• Maintain training records and develop standard operating procedures
Requirements:
• 1-5 years in the mining industry
• Knowledge of OHS legislation required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
