Role Overview

We are hiring an Underwriter to evaluate and price risk across our portfolio. The role combines analytical rigor with sound judgement — making the calls that protect profitability while supporting growth.

Key Responsibilities
Evaluate applications and price risk according to underwriting guidelines
Analyse financial statements, loss runs, and supporting documentation
Approve, decline, or refer cases based on risk appetite and authority limits
Negotiate terms with brokers, agents, or applicants
Maintain accurate documentation and rationale for each decision
Partner with claims, actuarial, and product teams on portfolio insights

Required Skills and Qualifications
3+ years in underwriting (commercial, personal, life, or specialty)
Robust analytical skills and judgement on risk
Familiarity with underwriting platforms and rating systems
Excellent written communication and rationale documentation




Working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks
Professional certifications (CPCU, AU, etc.) are a plus
