Compensation: Market-market-competitive salary commensurate with experience, qualifications, and location. Indicative range: $95,000 – $160,000 (USD equivalent), plus benefits.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Java Developer to build and maintain enterprise-grade backend services. The role works on systems that need to be reliable, performant, and well-designed — and partners with the wider engineering org on architecture and execution.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop backend services in Java and the Spring ecosystem
Build RESTful APIs that integrate with internal and external systems
Optimise performance and ensure scalability of services
Conduct code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions
Diagnose and resolve production issues
Partner with QA, DevOps, and product on delivery

Required Skills and Qualifications
3+ years building production Java applications
Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and the broader Spring ecosystem
Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)
Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus
Comfort with cloud platforms (AWS,



GCP, Azure) and containerisation
Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and system design
