Shape lives as a Community Living Counsellor Team Lead in Burnaby, BC. Lead your team in providing essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities while ensuring outstanding care.
Reporting to the Manager of Supported Living, you will take on a vital leadership role, guiding Community Living Counsellors in delivering Person-Centred Active Supports. Your leadership will facilitate engagement, life goal achievement, and community integration for individuals in care. This role emphasizes mentorship in daily living skills and prioritizing personal care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Empower individuals to achieve community involvement
• Support administrative operations alongside the Manager
• Encourage Counsellors to foster positive relationships




• Assist individuals with personal care and meal prep
• Track progress through daily activity evaluations
Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required
• Certification in First Aid and CPR necessary
• Satisfactory criminal record check required (CLS covers this)
• Experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities
• Leadership experience desired
