Cando is seeking dedicated Rail Switchpersons to manage rail car operations effectively. This position requires excellent teamwork, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity for physical activity, often in varying weather conditions. As a crucial part of Cando’s operations, you will be responsible for adhering to safety protocols and maximizing efficiency while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate locomotives safely following the CROR rules
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and safety checks




• Maintain precise documentation and logs of operations
• Support all in office aspects of Cando's services
• Report safety and equipment issues promptly
Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma or GED required
• Ability to work up to 12 hours per shift
• Previous rail or industrial experience preferred
• Class 5 driver's license is an asset
• Pass drug screenings and a background check
