At Northplex Ltd., we take pride in crafting high-quality, stylish modular homes for customers across Western Canada. Operating out of our 160,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled facility in Barrhead, Alberta, our team works year-round in a safe, efficient, and comfortable indoor environment.

We are currently seeking full-time Journeyman and Apprentice Carpenters to join our growing manufacturing team. This role is ideal for skilled tradespeople who value precision, teamwork, and consistent, indoor production work.

What You’ll Do

- Read and interpret production orders, blueprints, and specifications
- Measure, cut, and shape materials using hand and power tools
- Lay out and assemble framing for floors, walls, and roofs
- Operate tools such as circular saws, table saws, chop saws, nail guns, and sanders
- Assemble components using nails, screws, bolts, and other fasteners
- Perform minor adjustments and repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow procedures carefully to ensure top-quality workmanship
- Care for and maintain tools and equipment




- Support team members and contribute to overall production goals

What We’re Looking For

- Journeyman Carpenter certification or apprenticeship experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
