We are seeking a positive, energetic, and friendly individual to join our small team as a Taproom Server.

The Role:

This is a fast-paced position, particularly during our busy summer months. You will work within the Barkerville Brewery lounge/taproom, sharing a wide-ranging load of tasks and responsibilities with the team. At times, you may be required to work independently.

Schedule and Hours:

- Hours of operation are seasonal, typically ranging between 11:00 am and 11:00 pm.
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts is essential.
- Shifts are typically 6 hours long

Duties And Responsibilities:

- Serving customers and performing bartending tasks.
- Preparing food, processing and cleaning dishes and glassware, and maintaining the cleanliness of the entire space throughout the day.
- Merchandising retail products and counting inventory.
- Performing daily cash-in and out procedures. Operating Point of Sale System.
- The role requires heavy lifting for tasks such as restocking packaged products, moving kegs, and cleaning.

Required Qualifications:





- Serving It Right Certificate.
- A passion for craft beer or a strong willingness to learn.
- Exceptional interpersonal and public relations skills, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Demonstrates reliability, initiative, and self-motivation.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Proven ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as a valuable team member.
- A positive representative of the brewery to the public and the community.
- Strong ability to multitask effectively.

Assets (Preferred Qualifications):

- Food Secure Certification.
- WHMIS Certification.
- First Aid Level 1 Certification.

Pay: $18.25 per hour
