Job OverviewReporting to the Director, Nuclear Maintenance, this position provides leadership and alignment for all activities related to project planning, execution, delivery, and closeout within nuclear construction projects. The primary point of contact ensures a consistent methodology is used for key decisions and advancement of deliverables aligned with the scope of work.
ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
Prepare short and long‑term projections and forecasts for identified projects.
Prepare project revenue targets and budgets and update as required.
Develop business opportunities as they apply to the account.
Facilitate first‑hand business relationships with customers at decision‑making levels.
Proposal and Estimating
Establish strategies for proposal success.
Participate in final proposal pricing and document preparation.
Analyze risk, including review of terms and conditions, pre‑bid recommendation forms, PRC, and chair pre‑bid meetings.
Negotiate proposals toward award.
Project Execution
Identify threats to project delivery and establish countermeasures.
Determine resources required to execute projects.
Facilitate project turnover meetings and information exchange with proposal team.
Select management and supervision teams.
Maintain responsibility for safety, schedule, cost, manpower, and client communications.
Handle financial, accounting, and reporting associated with the project.
Conduct post‑job analysis of major projects.
Manage claims and their settlement.
Plan construction work packages and project coordination.
Provide supervisory guidance and informal safety inspections per Red Book training.
Prepare succession plans.
Ensure employees are fully trained for their roles.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in construction management, engineering,
or related field with focus on nuclear construction.
Minimum 5 years of nuclear industry experience.
Business development and commercial knowledge.
Experience with N286 and ISO 9001 quality execution projects.
Experience planning and executing EPC projects.
Minimum 2 years of project management experience within the nuclear industry.
Negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
Problem‑solving and organizational skills.
Planning and organizational talent to facilitate desired outcomes.
Experience with multiple project management delivery models.
Previous experience managing consortium partners.
Computer skills.
PayPay range: $110,000 - $140,000. Individual pay is determined based on location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other factors include certifications, specialised training, and role complexity.
