nSheet Harbour Family Practice is a team-oriented, community-based family medicine clinic located within Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital, part of Nova Scotia Health’s Eastern Shore network. The clinic provides comprehensive primary care in a supportive, hospital-integrated setting with strong administrative and interdisciplinary support.n

Job Description

nWe are seeking a Family Physician to join our established practice in Sheet Harbour. The successful candidate will assume the patient panel of a retiring physician and provide community‑based family medicine within a collegial, well‑supported hospital environment.n

The role includes clinic‑based care, Urgent Treatment Centre coverage, and Long‑Term Care support, with all services conveniently located on the same property.

Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive community family medicine
n
- Assume an established patient panel from a retiring physician
n
- Provide coverage for the on‑site Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC)
n
- Provide Long‑Term Care (LTC) coverage at Harbourview Lodgenn
- Weekly rounding
n

n
- Participate in a shared call rotan

n
- Overnight call for UTC/LTC (call volume is extremely low)
n

n
- Provide occasional evening and after‑hours coverage
n




- Collaborate with on‑site interdisciplinary and allied health provider
n

n

Expected Hours

- Clinic hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. As per the LFM contract, physicians can also provide a certain amount of virtual/phone call access for their patients after hours if desired.
