user-focused technology services and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the General Manager of Corporate Services, this leadership role is responsible for shaping the City’s enterprise IT strategy; delivering digital transformation initiatives; strengthening cybersecurity, privacy, and IT governance; and ensuring reliable, secure technology services that support high-quality municipal service delivery. The Manager of IT works closely with the

City’s Leadership Team, departments, and Camrose Police Services to align technology investments with business needs,

n

legislative requirements, and community expectations.

n

FUNCTIONS/DUTIES (but not limited to):

n

n
- Provide leadership to a diverse IT team through coaching, mentorship, and collaboration, fostering a high-performing and
n

nservice-oriented culture.nn
- Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives and complex technology projects from planning through
n

nimplementation and benefit realization.nn
- Oversee the City’s IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, cloud environments, and technology service delivery.n
n
- Oversee and provide leadership for cybersecurity, privacy, risk management, and business continuity within the IT
n

nenvironment.nn
- Strengthening IT governance, policies, procedures, standards, and performance practices to support accountability and
n

ncontinuous improvement.nn
- Partner with internal departments and the City’s Leadership Team to deliver practical, secure, and user-focused
n

ntechnology solutions.nn
- Manage IT operating and capital budgets, procurement, contracts, vendors, and technology assets.n
n
- Provide strategic advice to the City’s Management Team and Council on technology priorities, risks,



opportunities, and
n

nemerging trends.nn
- Lead organizational change management associated with major technology initiatives, ensuring effective communication,
n

ntraining, adoption, and sustainable new ways of working.n

QUALIFICATIONS:

n

n
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a
n

nrelated discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.nn
- A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology, including at least five
n

n(5) years in a leadership or management role.nn
- Demonstrated experience in IT strategy development, governance, enterprise systems, and leading complex technology
n

ninitiatives.nn
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance requirements, including Alberta’s Access to Information Act
n

nand Protection of Privacy Act.nn
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s Licence.n
n
- Satisfactory Criminal Police Information Check. Must meet additional police security screening requirements for access
n

nto Police Services systems, where required.nHOURS OF WORK: Hours of work are typically 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.n

SALARY & BENEFITS: The City of Camrose offers competitive salary, attractive benefits, and a positive work setting. The starting salary for this position will be dependent upon the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
