Summary of the Role:

nReporting to the Manager of OT/PT Services, the Occupational Therapist will:n

· Provide Occupational Therapy services within the professional scope of practice including assessment, consultation, education, intervention and documentation.

n

· Fulfill clinical standards of practice as mandated by the regulatory body.

n

· Provide comprehensive clinical rehabilitative services within the Centre, homes, schools and in the community.

n

· Collaborate with clients, families, community partners, and other team members in the planning and delivery of programs and services, including specialized programs (seating, ACC, etc.).

n

· Responsible to assess, prescribe and monitor assistive devices; and will direct programs and activities delegated to others including support staff and students.

n

· Participate in clinical education and knowledge transfer activities.

n

· Ensure quality, effectiveness and efficiency of services delivered.

n

Qualifications:

n· Clinical Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent.n

· Registered and in positive standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO).

n

· One year of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in paediatric rehabilitation, is preferred.

n

· Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills,



and demonstrate flexibility, initiative and an ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

n

· Able to meet the physical requirements of the job

n

· Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.

n

· Must be available to work flexible hours, as required.

n

· French Language Proficiency is an asset.
