Position Summary

n

The

n

Product Development Coordinator leads new product development and continuous improvement initiatives within a food manufacturing workplace. This role partners cross ‑ functionally to bring new products to market while ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and scalable manufacturing processes.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Lead product development from concept through commercialization

n

Develop formulations, prototypes, and support shelf ‑ life optimization

n





Plan and execute plant trials and product validations

n

Improve existing products for quality, cost, and process efficiency

n

Ensure compliance with CFIA, SFCR, and GFSI standards

n

Manage multiple R&D; projects, timelines, and technical documentation

n

Collaborate with QA, Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing

n

Support ingredient sourcing, supplier evaluations, and product launches

n

Qualifications

n

Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field

n

5+ years’ experience in food product development

n

Strong knowledge of formulation, food processing, and regulations

n

Experience with plant trials and commercialization

n

Strong communication, organization, and problem ‑ solving skills

n

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP, and formulation tools

n
