Duties and Responsibilities

n

Carry out programming and lectures and group facilitation as per schedule.

n

Transport clients to case conferences and medical appointments.

n

Ensure the safety and well‑being of the clients and the security of the unit.

n

Maintain a high level of communication with staff and the Executive Director.

n

Maintain an in/out log book for clients and equipment.

n

Keep daily recordings such as case notes and data up to date in keeping with the standards and procedures of the Centre.

n

Take appropriate action in crisis situations and report the same to the Executive Director.

n

Qualifications

n





Minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or Social Work, with experience in addictions or a related field.

n

Two (2) years experience in mental health and addictions.

n

Experience in the field of mental health and wellness as it relates to the First Nation, and experience in the provision of individual and group‑based treatment services.

n

Applicants without the specific education qualifications, where the position does not require a certified qualification to practice, but who possess an appropriate combination of experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered.
