Bayview Glen is currently looking to hire cooking specialists for the coming Summer of 2026. We are looking for individuals to engage our campers with creative, innovative, unique, and inclusive programming for children between the ages of 4 – 13. This position reports directly to the Camp Director.

Responsibilities and Duties

n

n
- Creating daily menu items for morning cooking specialty camp for ages 7-13.
n
- Creates daily menu items for afternoon 45-minute cooking rotations for ages 4-6.
n
- Create daily menu items to be prepared that are time and age appropriate.
n
- Create activities that will motivate campers to be advance further in the cooking field.
n
- Organize ingredients and supplies needed to facilitate the activities, with the help of administrative staff members.
n
- Facilitate activities in a fun, calm, patient, and motivational way that is supporting the campers.
n
- Taking camper attendance when arriving and before leaving.
n
- Responsible for supervising campers while on-site with our camp program.
n
- Ensure the safety and health of campers while on-site.
n
- Communicate regularly with head staff member to ensure awareness of any physical, psychological,



emotional and/or medical limitations of campers and/or staff that could affect their safety while on-site
n
- Constantly re-vamping the daily/weekly schedule as needed based on the groups of campers participating.
n
- Participate in all theme days as outlined by the camp schedule.
n

nQualifications and Skillsn

n
- Must have at least completed Grade 12.
n
- Experience teaching cooking to youth is an asset.
n
- Standard First Aid Training and CPR- C or higher required (certification opportunity available through camp)
n
- Comfortable providing detailed and written incident/accident reports.
n
- Preference given to those applicants with previous experience within a camp setting.
n
- As a condition of employment, a current Vulnerable Sector Screening Police Check and First Aid certification will be required.
