The Chinook School Division is seeking individuals interested in temporary summer employment providing maintenance support at multiple locations across the division.
n
Students who are 16 years of age or older in high school or post-secondary education are encouraged to apply.
n
SEIU - $21.98/hour
n
Chinook Education Centre (160 hours), Shaunavon High School (160 hours), Val Marie School (120 hours), Vanguard School (80 hours).
n
CUPE - $20.26/hour
n
Burstall School (80 hours), Fox Valley School (160 hours), Hodgeville School (120 hours).
n
Non-Union - $21.65/hour
n
Cabri School (160 hours), Consul School (120 hours), Eastend School (160 hours), Frontier School (160 hours), Hazlet School (80 hours), Success School (80 hours), Tompkins School (80 hours), Waldeck School (120 hours), Wymark School (160 hours).
n
Preferences will be given to applicants who:
n
n
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
n
- Demonstrate diligence, robust work ethic, and pride in workmanship
n
- Have experience with minor interior and exterior repairs/maintenance
n
- Demonstrate an interest in students and in education
n
- Display a positive attitude,
energy, initiative and enthusiasm
n
- Have completed WHMIS training (For free training visit )
n
nDuties (may include but are not limited to):n
n
- Assisting the Facility Operators with general custodial duties
n
- Deep cleaning, floor care
n
- Minor repairs/maintenance
n
- Yard work
n
- Operating mechanical equipment such as lawn mower, power scrubber, etc.
n
- Extensive lifting may be required up to and including 20-50kg.
n
