Newcastle Pet Supply is the independent pet store in the heart of the village. We carry the foods, supplements, and gear the big-box retailers don't — limited-ingredient diets, raw and freeze-dried, niche brands that solve real problems. Customers come to us when the easy answers haven't worked: the dog who keeps scratching, the cat who's lost interest in food, the new puppy whose owner wants to start things off right. Our staff take the time to actually help — that's what sets us apart.

The role

You'll be on the floor most of your shift: greeting customers and their dogs, answering questions, running the POS, picking online and special orders, restocking from weekly deliveries, and keeping the store looking sharp. Product knowledge is the core of this job, and we're looking for someone who can contribute on the floor quickly rather than spend months coming up to speed.

What we're looking for





- Previous experience in pet food or pet supply retail is strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of pet nutrition, brands, and product categories
- One or more years of retail or customer service experience
- Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in pets and their owners
- Comfortable with a POS system
- Available evenings and weekends
- Able to lift kibble and litter bags (up to approximately 50 lbs) as part of regular restocking
