Team Leader - All Programs

Help Youth Heal, Grow, and Build Strong Futures

At Nightwind Treatment Centre, we believe every young person can succeed when given the right support, structure, and relationships. Many of the youth we support have experienced trauma, loss, or instability. Our role is to provide a safe environment where they can heal, develop life skills, and build confidence for the future. The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing onsite program operations by maintaining an effective treatment milieu and safe environment for our person-served.

What You’ll Do

Team Leaders support youth living in our residential treatment programs by:

- Leading and supporting the service team to deliver high-quality services.
- Supervising onsite staff in the program and ensuring an effective system is in place for training and developing staff and their skills.
- Coordinating client intake and transition in and out of NWTC programs.
- Reviewing and assessing all referral packages and liaising with the Service Team regarding potential approvals for intake.
- Ensuring all case conferences are completed successfully in a timely manner and that Client Progress Reports are completed and shared with stakeholders.
- Following and monitoring the annual budget approved by the Service Team.

This role takes place across all of our residential treatment and group care settings.

Successful Team Leaders maintain and promote the philosophy that every child will do well if they can for all staff. You champion a trauma-informed approach by reinforcing for all staff the importance of healthy relationships and the effective prevention and resolution of conflict. You establish and maintain a culture of learning, professional growth, trauma-informed practice, cultural relevance and overall focus on healing and treatment for persons-served. You also support the Service Team to recruit and retain highly qualified staff who move forward the mission of NWTC.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

- Knowledge and experience with indigenous culture.
- Experience working with indigenous children and youth in care is essential.
- Undergraduate degree and/or diploma in Human Services.
- At least 5 years of experience working with youth is essential.
