Carpenter Apprentice (3rd or 4th Year) — Full Time

Are you a 3rd- or 4th-year Carpenter Apprentice with a strong framing background and at least 4 years of experience? Do you want steady, long-term work within a local service area while contributing to custom designed, Built Green, and Energy Star homes?

Summer hours - Monday to Thursday 4 x 10hr - enjoy your summer with 3 day weekends.

Our projects range from Chemainus to Nanoose Bay, with a strong focus on Ladysmith, Yellow Point, and Saltair. Our current projects is in Saltair with this project continuing into the fall.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is experienced, motivated, and ready to work in a physically demanding workplace. Ideal candidates will have:

- Minimum 4 years residential carpentry experience
- Proficiency in framing (new home construction preferred)
- Experience with concrete foundations (Burke system or ICF)
- Ability to crib patios, stairs, and driveways with minimal supervision
- Interior finishing skills—an asset
- Exterior finishing experience (siding, soffits)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills (3–4 person crew)
- Reliable, professional, and takes pride in clean, efficient work habits

Requirements





- Registered 3rd or 4th year Carpenter Apprentice - or equivalent
- Valid BC Driver’s Licence (driver’s abstract required on hire)
- Level 1 First Aid (can be completed before starting)
- PPE and basic carpentry tools
- Ability to work full-time, Monday–Friday - possible 4 day work weeks in summer
- Physically able to perform heavy and repetitive tasks
- Canadian citizen or permanent residence need only to apply
