Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Park Attendant to join our team in Grasswood Horse Park. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal of park facilities and grounds. This role offers an prospect to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, ensuring members and visitors enjoy a well-maintained and welcoming space. The position requires a proactive attitude, physical stamina, and a passion for outdoor maintenance and landscaping.

Duties

- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and watering using hand tools and power tools.
- Maintain Riding Arenas by harrowing, watering and conditioning the ground.
- Maintain Natural Trail Course performing maintenance on obstacles and keeping pond clean and filled with water.
- Assist with horticulture activities such as planting and maintaining flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance park aesthetics.
- Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of park facilities and grounds to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Operate basic maintenance equipment to repair or replace park fixtures, benches, or signage.
- Operate and maintain small concession at various events. Require Food Safe (can provide)
- Support general park upkeep including litter removal, cleaning of restrooms, and debris clearing.




- Assist with special projects or events as required to promote community engagement.

Skills

- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and watering systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of horses or landscape maintenance, Arena's and general park upkeep.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Basic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently, check in with supervisor and to use video/photo reports on a daily basis.
- Must have a cell phone and reliable vehicle.
- Ability to manage and handle money and provide accurate accounting for concession operations.
- Ability to pick up necessary fuel, paint, supplies etc. and account for receipts.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Prior experience working in equestrain setting or park maintenance is a plus but not required. This position offers an engaging outdoor work environment where attention to detail and proactive maintenance help create a safe and beautiful space for visitors. Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 16 weeks

Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
