Job Summary

As a Red Seal Certified Electrician at Tanco, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical, mechanical and electronic systems including PLC's, lighting and communications equipment across the field, shop and underground operations to support safe and efficient mining activities.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Interprets, creates and maintains all types of drawings, wiring diagrams and equipment manuals to locate and install circuits and equipment.
- Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical as well as basic knowledge of instrumentation principles.
- Ability and/or willingness to work underground.
- Maintains control systems on underground mobile equipment.
- Perform new installations and customizations to existing equipment.
- Respond to work orders, breakdowns, and emergency repairs in a quick and efficient manner.




- Carry out all work in a safe and professional manner complying with plant policies, procedures, and Workplace Health & Safety Regulations.
- Keeps working area, tools and equipment in an orderly condition.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications:

- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift, bend, twist in performing the functions.
- Experience/Knowledge in instrumentation is considered an asset.

Education/Certification

- Electrician – Red Seal Certification (required).
