Job Opportunity: Account Manager/Merchandiser/Driver
Location: Hay River, NWT
Position Status: Permanent Full Time
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the General Manager of YBD, the Driver/Merchandiser/Account Manager will be primarily responsible for current client accounts and client satisfaction. This position is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to clients, build relationships to encourage new and repeat business opportunities, and represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality. In addition, this position is responsible for the delivery and merchandising of beverage product to Hay River, NT customers.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue.
- Review all major deliverables (i.e. services/product, prices/fees, needs/space/promotions) to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met.
- Ensures that client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing the General Manager of any problems that may arise.
- Conduct rate reviews, handle billing disputes and credits with customers upon requests.
- Creating contracts and contract renewals for new and existing clients.
- Approves change orders, creates invoices, and is responsible for payment collections.
- Conducts reviews on accounts on regular basis to evaluate client needs, usage, and assistance requirements.
- Ensures that all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met, and that projects are profitable.
- Communicates the client's goals and represent the client's interests to the General Manager.
- Retain accounts through the development of strong relationships with key decisions makers and users within an organization.
- Understanding of company capabilities and service, and effectively communicates all offerings to the client.
- Reports to the General Manager, providing regular input on all account activity, including status and call reports on a weekly basis.
- Delivery of beverage and food product to all Hay River customers on a designated pre-planned route
- Accurate and timely processing of all paper work, order sheets and invoicing
- Manage product lines in trade ensuring all new products and sales opportunities are utilized and communicated to customers
- Taking the lead to follow up on potential display opportunities
- Manage product in customer premises, rotating inventory by date code in order to limit returns of outdated stock
- Installation, repair and maintenance of vending machines, dispensing systems and coolers
- Maintaining and cleaning assigned delivery vehicle to ensure it properly represents YBD in the trade
- Working with the General Manager in exercising all new revenue and business opportunities
- Providing excellent customer service
- Other related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional Competencies:
· Must be customer service oriented
· Proven account management skills required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships
· Ability to work independently in a high paced setting
· Flexible and adaptable,
with the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
· Willing to work with minimal supervision
· Must be punctual and present oneself in a professional, presentable manner at all times
· The ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
· Cross cultural awareness
· Maintains a high level of confidentiality when working with sensitive information
Knowledge and Technical Skills:
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Basic mathematical skills, word processing skills
· Knowledge of Coca Cola and its products
Education and work experience:
- High School Graduate or an equivalent
- Class 5 Drivers License with clean drivers abstract
- Supplemental administrative/financial coursework
- Minimum 3 years account/project management experience (Preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year administrative experience with computer systems
