RFNOW is rolling across Southern Manitoba and Saskatchewan and have opportunities available now!

RFNOW Inc. is seeking applications from motivated individuals to join our team as a Field Service Technician. The successful candidate will be involved in our day-to-day operations including the installation and preparation of fiber internet infrastructure, making the final connections into households and businesses.

General Responsibilities

- Install,terminate,and test fiber optic cables-in a residential or commercial setting.
- Install media converters,ONTs,switchesandroutersin aresidential or commercial setting.
- Utilize tools such as an OTDR, OFI and light meter foraccuratetesting.
- Install CAT5/6wiringin aresidential or commercialsettingin asafe,skilled manner.
- Interact with the client or support staff in a respectful, courteous, and professional manner.

Qualifications & Experience

- Experience as a telecominstallerwithtrouble shootingskillswillbeconsidered an asset.
- Experience with OTDR and other fiber optic testing equipment will be considered an asset.
- Networking knowledge and experiencesetting upwireless routersandtelephone systems will be considered an asset.
- Must be able toworkwith customers in a professional manner.




- Must have avalid driver’s license andprovide acurrent,clean driver’sabstractupon hire.
- Vulnerable Sector Check to RF Now’s satisfaction will berequired.
- Ability to travel to various work sites asrequired.(Some overnighting may berequiredfor short durations)
- Abilityto follow strict safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to workin all weatherconditions.

Location

- Preferencewill be given to candidates whoare inVirden MB area ortheCarlyle,Wapella, Moosomin or Esterhazy areas in SK.
- This position would cover the Western edge of MB and primarilySESK, not exclusively.

This role will give you the opportunity to work out of your home community. You will be provided with a company vehicle and will be assigned work at various locations throughout the region as required. A company vehicle will be supplied and maintained by RF Now, as well as all required tools will be supplies by the company.
