Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, commercial driving, and possess strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Responsibilities
Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to customers and clients within designated routes.
Load and unload goods, utilizing equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling of heavy or bulky items.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues.
Assist in warehouse activities such as moving inventory or organizing stock when not on deliveries.
Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities.
Skills
Experience in moving heavy items safely, including the use of forklifts or other lifting equipment.
Robust customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating company vehicles.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly throughout the workday.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact positively with customers.
Warehouse experience is a plus, including familiarity with inventory management and logistics operations.
Pay: $16.00 per hour
