Title: Maintenance

Reports To: Shop Supervisor or Designate

Must be a Resident of Canada and be able to work in Canada and living within a 60 KM Radius of 2W

Summary
Maintenance will be responsible for keeping the factory equipment running in excellent condition, including but not limited to troubleshooting/fault-finding factory machines such as BLM Tube Lasers, Fanuc/Fronius Robotic Welders, Forklifts, Presses, Bake Ovens, and Electrostatic Paint systems.

Along with keeping the factory equipment up and running, maintenance will perform general building and property maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

Maintenance will perform diversified duties to keep the factory running and productive to support the site's business goals and objectives.

Job Duties

- Ensure tasks are handled quickly and efficiently within budget.
- Perform equipment and building maintenance.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment if required.
- Set up and performed PM repairs as needed and per manufacturer guidelines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance and service.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Coordinate and monitor contractor activities for projects.
- Set priorities for preventative maintenance orders, requisitions, and scheduled work.
- Maintain adequate supplies and equipment for the maintenance department.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Complete all necessary reports and records related to the department as required.
- Drive 2W Livestock Equipment vehicles, as required.
- Maintain inventory of new equipment, manuals, and warranties.
- Initiate safety concerns and judge the best methods of completing tasks.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.





Requirements

- Highly motivated and able to work independently.
- Minimum four years experience in the operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Understand PLCs, ladders, and electrical diagrams (Advantage)
- Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions.
- Initiative, responsibility, flexibility.
- Perform building repairs (e.g. caulking, replacing washers, and replacing light fixtures).
- Knowledge and ability to work on 110v up to 600v systems and equipment.
- Knowledge of local, provincial and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances and legislation.
- Possess a valid, clean driver's license.
- Able to create alternative solutions to problems.
- Excellent time management and project management skills.
- First Aid skills and certificates are considered assets.

Work Conditions

- Short notice availability may be required in the instance of a breakdown.
- Physical ability to lift to 75lb.
- Safety equipment required, e.g., steel-toed safety boots and safety glasses/goggles.
- Overtime as required.
- Hazards associated with the trade.
- Work both indoors and outdoors.
- Will be exposed to construction sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
