Stonehooker Brewing Company is looking for a dedicated, Brewery Assistant to join the Stonehooker crew on our journey to bring our delicious beer to the mouths of thirsty customers around the Golden Horseshoe.

With our brewery and taproom situated in Lakeview on the east side of bustling Port Credit, we continue to emerge into a high demand marketplace with our eclectic mix of beer styles appealing to a wide demographic.

Responsibilities

Driving:

- Driver must demonstrate proper daily routines including: pre/post-trip inspections, load securement, daily logbook entry, vehicle cleanliness, truck-servicing update
- Timely and safe delivery of orders
- Secure payment from customers for delivery
- Keep accurate records of daily deliveries/transactions
- Record and return empty, damaged or unsatisfactory kegs/bottles/cans to the brewery
- Move and lift heavy objects with the assistance of a dolly and/or pump truck

Canning:

- Work in a production team to ensure the safe and effective operation of a high-speed bottling/canning line.
- The production operation includes a variety of individual operator roles and technical processes throughout the production line. The start to finish process includes can de-palletizing, rinsing, filling, seaming, pasteurization and packing.
- The ability to learn and perform job functions within the entire bottling and canning process is required.



The success of the operation depends on the skills and abilities of the production team.
- Physical aspects of the job with constant standing, bending, twisting, lifting, climbing, etc.
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

- Valid G class license (minimum 3 years with G license), clean driving abstract
- Previous commercial driving experience is an asset
- Ability to lift kegs, up to 50lbs
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, good attitude
- Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management
- Must be a well organized, detail and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter
- Must be reliable
- Compliance with health & safety and regulatory compliance requirements
- Demonstrate good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in decision making
- Multi-skilled and flexible.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
