Position: Early Childhood Educator (Out of School Care)
Status: Temporary Summer Full time Position (depending on applicant)
Location: Kidz Zone Out of School Care Program
Start Date: June 8, 2026

About the Role

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our Out of School Care team for a Temporary Summer Time Position. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where children feel supported, inspired, and valued. The ideal candidate for this role will be ready to participate in outdoor games and activities with School Age Children, as well as spend their day walking and biking on various local day trips. This position has the possibility to move into a casual/part-time role after the summer for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 5–12
- Provide active supervision and maintain a safe, welcoming environment
- Build positive,



respectful relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Support children’s social-emotional growth through guidance and encouragement
- Maintain daily documentation, attendance, and program records
- Follow licensing regulations, organizational policies, and health & safety standards
- Assist with snack preparation, transitions, and indoor/outdoor play experiences

Qualifications

- Must have a Minimum Level 1 Early Childhood Educator Certification (Level 2 or 3 an asset)
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Experience working with School-Age children is an asset
- Current First Aid/CPR Level C
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- A positive, energetic attitude and willingness to learn
- Fluent in speaking and understanding English.

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
