Overview

nDeep River Nursery School and Child Care Centre is a licensed child care center which provides quality care to families in the Deep River and surrounding areas.n

This is a permanent position.

n

The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for teaching young children, and dedication to helping develop and support their educational growth while encouraging social interactions.

n

Responsibilities

n· Excellent written and oral communication.n

· Planning and implementing a quality Before and After School Program for children 4 to 12 years of age

n

· Creative, hard working team player, energetic, flexible, reliable, punctual.

n

· Provide opportunities for active play (i.e. outdoor play).

n

· Knowledge of the CCEYA and of "How Does Learning Happen?".

n

· Physically able to perform repetitive tasks; sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, lifting; bathroom/diapering routine; room set up/take down.

n

· Maintain and clean daycare equipment.

n





· Ensuring the supervision and safety of the children in the program

n

· Fostering the children’s curiosity and facilitating activities based on their interests and needs.

n

· Building positive relationships with the children, families and school community

n

Requirements

n· Member in good standing of the College of Early Childhood Educators or Ontario College of Teachers or a diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care or a diploma or degree in Recreation and Leisure services is an asset.n

· Holder of a valid Standard First Aid/CPR-C Certificate

n

· Vulnerable Sector Check – within the last three months

n

· 1 year of experience working in child care settings will be an asset.

n

· Up-to-date immunization

n

Job Type: Full time
