CHALLENGE
nReporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President, VP, Chief Information Officer (CIO) plays a strategic role on the Executive Committee. This individual is responsible for defining, leading, and executing the institution’s technology vision to support its growth, performance, security, and innovation. They oversee all IT functions, drive the organization’s digital transformation, ensure IT governance, optimize technology operations, and ensure compliance with financial sector regulatory requirements. In this capacity, she is also responsible for defining and implementing an artificial intelligence strategy, including the establishment of a governance framework, structures, and practices that enable responsible, secure, and value-creating adoption for the organization.n
The ideal candidate is a strategic and creative leader in information technology who thrives in times of change and opportunity. With proven experience in information technology,
the incumbent demonstrates inspirational leadership backed by a strong strategic vision, a strong customer focus, and a constant drive for results. He or she excels at change management, demonstrates resilience, proactivity, and excellent political acumen, while being a skilled negotiator capable of defending the organization’s interests with internal and external partners.

Equipped with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ideal candidate can effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and demonstrate innovative thinking.

REQUIREMENTS
nThey possess solid expertise in banking and financial systems, a thorough understanding of business processes and regulatory frameworks applicable to financial institutions, as well as significant experience in cybersecurity, IT governance, and digital transformation. Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, ITIL, PMP, cloud technologies) are significant assets.n
The successful candidate holds a university degree in computer science, technology, engineering, management, or a related field and has a minimum of 10 years of executive-level management experience, including managing complex or innovative technology environments. Fluency in both French and English is essential, with French as the primary working language.
